I see public places as the beating heart of any community, and placemaking encourages us to reimagine them together. I love the idea of turning ordinary spaces into meaningful, dynamic places that resonate with the people they serve. I'm particularly interested in how meanwhile use can bridge the gap between vacancy and development while fostering experimentation and interaction with residents. I think Jane Jacobs said it best - "Designing a dream city is easy; rebuilding a living one takes imagination.”

All my life I’ve hated and loved this place.

All my life I’ve felt like an outsider, but also felt an unbreakable connection to community.

All my life I’ve felt the heavy weight of potential. I can help realise some, but most of it has been above my pay grade.

For me, Daisy Chain is about gathering a collective of like-minded people to try and realise more of that potential, specifically by engaging creative, playful and challenging practice to question the long-established way of doing things.

I must admit if I had my way we’d have a revolution (one of those bloodless ones if possible), but in the meantime Daisy Chain is the best I’ve got.
